What Stacy and Her Boys are Reading Now
Happy Summer, reader friends! In the six weeks since my semester ended I’ve done a bunch of running around – both literally (another 1⁄2 marathon and a trail race) and metaphorically (moving, quick work trip to Iowa City, teaching a Shakespeare class at a prison – more on that in a future blog post). But, I’ve also squeezed in some reading time. And, so have my two boys (ages 40 and 8). Here’s what is stacked up on our coffee table and these days:
Stacy:
Leaving Church: A Memoir of Faith by Barbara Brown Taylor
Jesus in the Lotus: The Mystical Doorway Between Christianity and Yogic Spirituality by Russill Paul
Jason:
The Complete Book of Home Preserving
All Seasons Garden Guide 2014
(Jason’s reading is more practical these days – and I am enjoying the tasty benefits!)
Ashton:
Geronimo Stilton books
The Hunger Games (I may have convinced him of that one)
Encyclopedia Brown
Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing
